I have posted quite a few articles recently on our Facebook page regarding Disney Springs, what has surprised me is the amount of visitors who ask, ‘is it worth visiting this Disney Springs place?’. To which my answer, without hesitation, is always a big fat ‘YES’! I find it difficult to believe that guests haven’t actually ventured into what was once known as Downtown Disney. The massive transformation of the area has definitely made this a must visit spot whilst vacating in Florida! We can’t recommend, highly enough, a visit to the revamped Disney Springs.
I love everything about Disney Springs, the scenery, the eateries, the entertainment and the shopping, however, it is the atmosphere I love the most, it is almost magical, I guess it is a part of Disney!
Wine Bar George – Opens in 2017!
One of the most exciting things announced this year is the new Wine Bar George, located at The Landing. The new location has been described as an estate-style wine bar!
The 6,000 square foot, 210 seat venue will offer a warm comforting atmosphere, surrounded by oak and soft lighting complete with concrete floors!
Over 100 Wines
There will be a staggering choice of over 100 wines, which will all be specially hand picked by Master Sommelier George Miliotes! Master Sommelier George is no stranger to Disney, he first debuted in 1995, with the opening team of the California Grill, at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, where he worked until 2002 managing their beverages program. He is one of only 230 Master Sommeliers in the world.
The bar will host special events offering tasting sessions from renowned wineries as well as new up and coming wineries. Wines will be sourced both locally and from abroad.
To Dry Up The Alcohol
Small plates will be offered as well as various cheeses to compliment the wines.
When Will Wine By George open?
There are no definite dates yet, but we can expect it to be late 2017.
Disney Springs is going to be on many a visitors list as a ‘must do’! It really is a great place to spend socializing with friends and family! I think Wine Bar George is going to fill an important niche in the market!
