Universal Residents Pass Price Increases from April 2013

From April 22nd 2013 the cost of updating a Florida Resident’s Annual Pass increased a small chunk.
Although hugely competitive in comparison to the equivalent Disney Annual Pass options, the price hike won’t be received well by locals that truly adore the ever expanding twin park resort.

A quick look at the Official Universal website reveals that the basic annual pass has increased by $10 while the most popular Universal annual passes have been lifted by $20 per pass.

The Blockout Power Pass now costs $174.99
The Regular or Preferred Pass now Costs $244.99
The Premier Pass with Express Pass no costs $369.99

Our opinion!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen any significant increases in the Universal Annual Passes,  but those huge new developments within Universal Studios include the new Transformers Ride and the much rumoured Harry Potter area, certainly make Universal’s management feel that their guests are going to pay up!
Overall, the tickets still represent amazing value if you plan to head into the parks more than a few times a year!
