Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast was a lame old kind of 3D simulator ride.
It was very nicely themed and had a fun upbeat feeling, but it did have a very little extra special something; Bikinin Bottom!

The mysterious underwater world of Spongebob Squarepants, Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, Squidward Tentacles, Eugene H Krabs, Gary the Sea Snail and Sheldon J Plankton brought magic to our kids hearts whenever we rode.

The littlest daughter Claudia was sweetly convinced that we’d actually visited the real depths of Bikini Bottom, and at 2 years old, she couldn’t be any happier.  Until of course, the yellow sponge was exchanged for a bunch of yellow Minions in July of 2012.
Better rides don’t always mean happier guests it seems!

Reading one of our favorite rumour websites today, Screamscape theorized about a Bikini Bottom water park heading to universal some time in the future.  It’s not quite a rumour, more an idea of the Editor, but we have to admit that the insight is rather intriguing.
Only recently, Universal were widely considered by Attractions Magazine to be delighted by the popularity of the Spongebob Storepants store that was recently located in the Kid Zone at Universal Studios.

Something tells me that this dream might soon become a rumor, and in turn a big construction project for a theme park owner that is spending cash on Orlando’s parks faster than Mr Krabs can cram it into his safe!
