Nalani and Malia back

One Ocean“, SeaWorld’s hugely popular Killer Whale show will take a break commencing early January.  Although no firm dates have been set for a return, it is believed that the extensive work to the main show pool will take up to 3 months as surfaces are repainted and the thick clear plexiglass sections are replaced.

SeaWorld have been previously rumored to have been investigating a huge ‘pump system’ that would provide a stream of flowing water for the whales to gain enrichment from.
It isn’t yet clear whether any such work would be included in this shutdown period.

The lengthy but temporary closure of the show pool will also mean that the Dine with Shamu event will also take a break as a ‘Shamu up Close’ event will enable guests to view these amazing creatures while the ‘One Ocean‘ is offline.
