Seasons 52 – A restaurant out of season?

Welcome to and today we are reviewing Seasons 52 on Sand Lake Road.
This is Kev and we are in an area affectionately known as Restaurant Row, just a few minutes away from International  Drive.

Seasons 52 has held a long standing position in our Top 10 Orlando Restaurants list, but it has been a few years since our last review.
It’s a lovely location with sun-drenched views across Little Sand Lake.

Fresh healthy menu with a seasonal twist!

As you might guess from the name, Seasons 52 offers fresh seasonal menu items with healthy twist.
Parts of the menu are updated weekly to match available produce and there’s plenty to choose from.
Seasons 52 has taken up a growing trend to stock local craft beers and Orlando Brewing’s I-4 IPA is on the menu!.

The server didn’t seem to be paying attention

We ordered chicken skewers and stuffed mushrooms for our appetizers.
Keen eyed viewers will spot that the server brought out a flatbread instead of chicken.
We were stuck for time, so decided not to mention the error.
The shrimp and lump crab mushrooms were very tasty indeed, not at all too fishy and worked well.
The serving spoon was way too big to fit into the cups, making it impossible to remove the mushrooms without a big mess.

The Garlic Pesto Flatbread was very good, even though we hadn’t ordered it.  At least it wasn’t burned! (more on that later).

Slow service and a sensation that the decor was past its best!

We had plenty of opportunity to walk the restaurant, which was for a lunchtime surprisingly quiet.
We couldn’t help feel as though the place was looking tired and needed a big makeover if it was to compete with the stylish options that were springing up around the tourism area.
Other than the Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon, the mains were disappointing.
The tomato flatbread was badly burned and the roast chicken was completely flavorless.
I have to say though, that despite lacking taste, the vegetables were very fresh and cooked to perfection!

High prices would have been fine if the quality had matched

For 2 appetizers, the 3 entrees 3 beers and a soda, we felt that Seasons 52 was overpriced.
More worryingly, incorrect orders, general attention to detail, burned flatbreads and a very flavorless entrée was a big issue for us.
So much so, we’ve removed our first ever restaurant from our Top 10 Orlando Restaurants list!
That’s a first for us at totalorlando and we walked away feeling very disappointed that this once amazing restaurant had declined so badly.

Thankfully though, Orlando is buzzing with fabulous new places to take its place.
Thank you for watching and visit us soon at!
