The facade of the NASCAR Sports Grille is being demolished at the moment and rumor has it that it’s going to become an NBC Sports restaurant.
The NBA City Basketball themed restaurant next to the Hard Rock Cafe might also be doomed as Universal step up their offerings as part of the huge development of Universal Orlando. This long standing rumor is still unconfirmed though.
DOWNTOWN DISNEY SPRINGS
If you thought the parking couldn’t get worse, then think again! More ground level parking disappears as part of the Disney Springs makeover! This time the areas behind the Marketplace finally closed today.
Say goodbye to lots A-G from The World Of Disney right along to the T-Rex Cafe!
Guests can still park over on the West side for now along with some areas of the new multi level parking lot and behind the Cirque du Soleil.
Disney have also provided shuttle bus services from the nearby Team Disney and Suntrust parking lots across from Lake Buena Vista Drive.
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth gets a makeover, but the changes are subtle.
No more Walter Cronkite’s finale voiceover, but instead there’s Mary Thompson Hunt and upgraded laser units adding more color to the show.
The Pyro (fireworks) is also slightly revised to great effect!
Construction is making good progress for the exciting new Pandora: Land of Avatar area being built at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s a long wait yet though, as it won’t debut until 2017!

Skull Island will soon be greeting you at Islands of Adventure and the construction is progressing well for a 2015 opening!
A dark ride roller coaster will be rely upon sensation and fear rather than sheer speed.
