Champagne & FireworksThe Christmas Holidays are barely over, trees and decorations are coming down, but Orlando keeps partying at the stroke of midnight on December 31st.

Here’s a quick guide to what’s going on in and around Orlando for fun seeking revellers!
Don’t forget, that this time of year can be busy, so plan ahead, allow plenty of travelling time between destinations and always book your entertainment tickets in advance as ‘walk ins’ for most events are just plain hard to get!

New Year’s Eve In the Orlando Resorts & Theme Parks

Magic Kingdom (30th Dec and New Year’s Eve)
Regular park guests can enjoy a New Year’s firework special version of the Holiday Wishes firework display at 9pm on both 30th and 31st December 2013.
On the 31st, a special Fantasy in the Sky firework display will commence at 11:50pm
A special ‘ticket only’ dinner and dessert party is also available over at the Tomorrowland Terrace, while availability remains.
Selected major park attractions are open during the New Year’s celebration events at the Magic Kingdom.
Park closes at 1am
Epcot (New Year’s Eve)
Special Restaurant Meals are offered at the Biergarten Restaurant, La Hacienda de San Angel, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Monsieur Paul along with a buffet at the World ShowPlace.  Reservations are required for all, and availability is limited.
Various DJs will host party music at select pavilions throughout the World Showcase.  Tickets are not required, although the popular event tends to be very very busy.
Two special holiday versions of the Illuminations firework and laser show will take place at 6:30pm and 11:40pm.  Both shows are expected to be very popular and busy and are free of charge to guests with regular admission.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios (New Year’s Eve)
A live, classic Rock n Roll band (Mulch, Sweat and Shears) leads regular park admission guests from 6pm through to midnight with a countdown and stunning firework display that is centered around the Sorcerer’s Hat area of the theme park.
Park closes at midnight (2am for Extra Magic Hours Guests staying on Disney property)
Downtown Disney (New Year’s Eve)
Lots of varied stage performances, street entertainers and musicians bring the Downtown Disney walkways to life at News Year’s Eve.
Special New Year’s Eve celebrations also will take place at DisneyQuest , House of Blues, Bongo’s Cuban Café, Paradiso 37 and Raglan Road.
Guests can also enjoy meet and greets with favorite Disney characters before rounding the evening off with a fabulous New Year’s Eve countdown, complete with confetti drop.
Disney Resort area (New Year’s Eve)
The following venues will also host special New Year’s events:
Flying Fish Café at Disney’s BoardWalk; Cítricos, Victoria & Albert’s and Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa; California Grill and Chef Mickey’s (New Year’s Day brunch) at Disney’s Contemporary Resort; Boma – Flavors of Africa (New Year’s Day breakfast) at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

CityWalk (New Year’s Eve)
CityWalk will close to the general public during New Year’s Eve.
For $99 per person, guests can obtain a CityWalk New Year’s Eve party ticket, offering food, and entertainment including DJs and Night Club access for over 21s.
A midnight Fireworks display and countdown is also included.
Note: Theme Park admission is not included as part of the New Year’s Eve Party event and separate tickets will be required in order to access either Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure.
Islands of Adventure closes at: 11pm

SeaWorld Orlando
Music and fireworks celebrate the arrival of the New Year as part of regular park admission.
SeaWorld’s Winter Wonderland on Ice runs at 7:15 PM, 9:45 PM, 11:25 PM
Park closes at 1am
LEGOLAND Florida
Nightly fireworks over Lake Eloise from Dec 26th thru 30th with a special twist thanks to some stunning visual effects glasses!
On New Year’s Eve, LEGOLAND ditches EST in favor of KST!
The magical switch ensures that at midnight KST (actually 7pm EST), the party begins with a splendid firework display to celebrate the New Year in style!
As always, kids are the priority at LEGOLAND and they have thought of everything to stop our little ‘brick fans’ from getting too tired!
