Disney Springs Development Update & Aerial Photos
If you are just beginning your research for your next Orlando vacation, you may be planning a trip to Downtown Disney as part of your vacation itinerary.
If so, we are very pleased to say that you won’t regret it!
As a contrast to the very ‘full on’ entertainment that is provided by the theme parks, Downtown Disney has an easier pace thanks to stunning themed stores and restaurants.
The lakeside walkways are busy but enjoyable, whatever time of day you visit, but evenings are best, thanks to the colorful lighting effects and lively atmosphere.
Sure, there’s a bit of fun too, thanks to Disney Quest (interactive fun zone), luxury bowling, multiscreen cinemas and the one and only Cirque du Soleil.
Don’t be too surprised however, when you show up to find a lot of construction work going on. This area is a few months into a huge two year reconstruction program that will double the number of locations from 75 to 150 as part of an exciting new development that will be renamed ‘Disney Springs‘.
Some features such as the Cap ‘n Jack’s Boat Marina and restaurant will be gone, so too the night club area of Pleasure Island, but guests should not be deterred, the magic is still here and so should you be!
