From March 18th, another huge chunk of parking lot will disappear from Downtown Disney, as the construction process really picks up to complete the first multi level parking lot by the end of 2014/early 2015.

Essential to the whole program, the first of two mutli level parking garages must be in place in order to release the final parcels of land that are currently essential parking bays at DTD.
Parking is going to be a challenge over the course of 2014, but, as we put our faith in Disney, it is definitely going to be worth it.

The latest chunk to go is the area to the east of the existing construction site.
To most of us, that’s the area by Pleasure Island, Cookes of Dublin and the T-Rex cafe.
The result makes the only original areas to park in, way over by the Cirque du Soleil, which on most days should cope just fine.

Holidays however, are going to be a nightmare, as guests battle to understand where their favorite parking lots ‘from last year’ have vanished to!
Disney have helped ease matters by providing additional parking over Buena Vista Drive at the Casting Centre and Suntrust Bank at weekends.
Don’t worry about crossing that that busy highway on foot, as Disney provide shuttle busses over to Downtown Disney.
