Perhaps the most overlooked spectacle in Walt Disney World is the La Nouba show at Downtown Disney’s Cirque du Soleil.  Read our full Cirque du Soleil review here

ClownFor years, before the internet was filled with high quality blogs and travel guides, my family often puzzled about the weird and wonderful structure towards the west side of DTD.
Year after year, we pressed our noses up to the glass doors, trying to figure out why it was closed during our daytime visits.  Perhaps we dismissed it as a failed venture, rather like the Virgin Store or Pleasure Island’s night clubs, mothballed for some future project.
It sounds crazy, but that’s how dreadful information was way back when it first opened on December 28th 1998.

Even today, with information readily available on our ‘telephones’, I always suspect that the Cirque du Soleil is much misunderstood.

La Nouba – The best show in Orlando

Really? The best show in Orlando?
Sure, Fantasmic is fantastic, and the Festival of The Lion King is the pride of Animal Kingdom, but there’s something about La Nouba that simply cannot be explained.
Ranked as the 4th best attraction in Orlando, with 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor, you don’t have to take our word for it!

  • #1 Wishes Fireworks at Disney
  • #2 Discovery Cove
  • #3 Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine (not sure about this one!)
  • #4 La Nouba

Put at it’s simplest, La Nouba is what can best be described as a ‘Family Friendly Extreme Circus’.
Don’t like the circus?  Think again!
You will simply be blown away by the high tech stage equipment and the incredibly talented human performances, all set to live music played from secret locations around the auditorium and stage.  (We challenge you to spot all of the musicians and singers!)

La Nouba’s new Dinner Package

As Disney work hard to encourage you to spend quality time at Downtown Disney Springs, a brand new Dinner/Show package is available for La Nouba guests.
La Nouba, which means ‘To Live it Up’, really gives you the party spirit by offering the choice of pre or post dinner combinations with the 6pm show.
Starting from $99, guests taking out the ‘Dinner & A Show‘ package, get a ticket into the 6pm show, plus an entree, dessert and non alcoholic beverage at either the Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Planet Hollywood, or Splitsville Luxury Lanes restaurants.
You can choose whether to dine before 4:30pm or at 8pm after the show.
